social rowingFancy giving rowing a go?

Let's be honest, how many people have rowed a Cornish Pilot Gig before? Not many. Indeed, most of our members started as complete beginners.

Open Rowing sessions are ideal for trying your hand with other novice and first time rowers. The rows are short and have straightforward instruction to get you started. You will need to sign a disclaimer though.

You can attend three sessions. If you're still keen after that we'll ask you to join the club.

So, if you fancy a go, here are the details....

When?          Saturday mornings 10.30 to 12.30 all year. Also Tuesdays at 6pm (summer only - starts 1st April 2014)

Where?         The old stone quay opposite Gee White's and the East Bar

The cost?      £2 per session, regardless of the number of rows. Can't get cheaper than that! What's to lose?

What to wear?   Old, comfortable clothing that may get wet (layers are best to take off as needed), some cycling-type gloves if you're worried about blisters and a hat if it's cold. If it's hot, bring something to drink

What next?   Either turn up at the quay or, for further info, contact

Hopefully see you there!
